GEMUN

GEMUN stands for Global Elementary Model United Nations, and it is similar to other UN programs that provide delegations of students the opportunity to represent a particular country's perspective when presenting and debating resolutions to global issues.

This will be Wilson's 4th year to send a delegation to GEMUN.  In the past, we have represented the countries of Chad, South Sudan, and Syria.  This experience is open to 4th and 5th grade GT learners with an interest in finding peaceful solutions for each of the UN Global Goals for Sustainability.

Upcoming Events

Saturday, 10/13 (9:00-12:00):  First delegate workshop

Friday, 5/17-Saturday, 5/18: GEMUN conference at Brookhaven College

GEMUN meets 1-2 times per week during the school day.  Workshops are held 2-3 Saturday mornings during the school year.  These are optional but encouraged.  Attendance at both days of the GEMUN conference is mandatory.
